Originally created by Berry Bros & Rudd in London, Cutty Sark is now produced in Scotland by La Martiniquaise-Bardinet. The brand was named after the famous sailing ship Cutty Sark, which stands for speed and elegance.
Cutty Sark is a blend of high-quality single malt and grain whiskies, mainly from the Speyside region. The whiskies are matured in American oak casks, which gives the blend its characteristic vanilla and citrus notes. A special feature is the 21-day "marrying process", in which the whiskies rest before bottling to ensure a harmonious flavor profile.
The striking green bottle with the yellow label shows the famous sailing ship Cutty Sark. The design was created in 1955 by Swedish marine painter Carl Georg August Wallin and has been an unmistakable trademark of the brand ever since.
