The Gaelic name 'Torra Mhoir' of the Scottish malt distillery Tormore means "big hill". With its location between Grantown-on-Spey and Aberlour, it belongs to the Speyside region. Aesthetes consider the building complex to be one of the most beautiful of its kind, with its lovingly restored 19th century appearance. It is the work of British architect Sir Albert Richardson and attracts the attention of tourists with its bell tower, snow-white buildings and a lake with swans. From time to time, selected visitors can also see the interior with its eight stills. On the one hand, the single malt is used for other blends such as Chivas or Long John, and on the other, it is a special guest in the portfolio of the exclusive Scotch Malt Whisky Society, which launches the highest quality whiskies for its club members. It is also used by Douglas Laig and Signatory Vintage - the latter for the "Old Malt Cask" series. The Tormore 16 Years Old Speyside Single Malt Scotch Whisky with 48% vol. now comes with a smooth, aromatic aroma and taste from the best casks in the warehouse. Characterized by its light, creamy vanilla, toffee and spicy notes in harmony with the fruity nuances of ripe melons and pears. Well packaged in a tasteful gift box, Tormore whisky is the characterful representative of good Scottish single malts.
