Diese Abfüllung stammt von Signatory Vintage, einem der renommiertesten unabhängigen Abfüller Schottlands, bekannt für transparente Herkunftsangaben, kompromisslose Qualität und Einzelfass-Charakter.
Besonders bemerkenswert ist die Reifung: Der Whisky lagerte über die gesamte Dauer in einem First Fill Sherry Butt – also einem großen Eichenfass, das zuvor Sherry enthielt und dem Whisky intensive Aromen sowie eine ausgeprägte Farbe verliehen hat. Die Kombination aus Sherryfass und Blair Athols typischem Highland-Stil sorgt für einen tiefen, würzig-fruchtigen Charakter mit komplexer Struktur. Selbstverständlich ist der Whisky nicht kühlfiltriert und ungefärbt, um die natürliche Fassaromatik vollständig zu bewahren.

Farbe: Dunkles Bernstein mit rötlichem Schimmer.
Nase: Reife Trockenfrüchte, dunkle Schokolade, Rosinen, Gewürze und geröstetes Holz.
Geschmack: Vollmundig und kraftvoll mit Noten von Sherry, Karamell, Walnüssen, Eichenwürze und einem Hauch Espresso.
Abgang: Langanhaltend, würzig und komplex mit Trockenobst und dezenter Bittermandel.

Mit wenigen Tropfen Wasser lässt sich das volle Aromenspektrum dieses Sherryfass-gelagerten Whiskys noch weiter öffnen.
