Die St. Kilian Kiliani Edition HEDAN ist eine besondere Hommage an den Namensgeber der Brennerei – den irischen Missionar St. Kilian, der im 7. Jahrhundert nach Franken kam. Diese exklusive Sonderedition wurde anlässlich des Kiliani-Volksfests in Würzburg kreiert und vereint das handwerkliche Können der St. Kilian Distillers mit regionaler Tradition und moderner Whiskykunst.
Hergestellt wird der HEDAN Whisky in der unterfränkischen Ortschaft Rüdenau – vollständig aus 100 % gemälzter Gerste und zweifach destilliert in original schottischen Kupferbrennblasen. Die Reifung erfolgte in einer Kombination aus ex-Bourbon-Barrels und französischen Eichenfässern, was diesem Whisky eine angenehme Balance aus Süße, Holz und Würze verleiht. Abgefüllt mit 46 % Vol., ist er weder kühlfiltriert noch gefärbt – ein ehrlicher, deutscher Single Malt, der Qualität und Charakter in sich vereint. Tasting notes:
Farbe: Helles Gold mit warmen Reflexen.
Nase: Fruchtig und ausgewogen mit Aromen von reifem Apfel, Vanille, Honig und einer Spur getoastetem Holz.
Geschmack: Rund und weich mit Noten von hellem Karamell, Biskuit, Eiche, Gewürzen und dezenter Fruchtsüße.
Abgang: Mittellang, angenehm trocken mit einer warmen, leicht würzigen Eichen-Note.
Die Kiliani Edition HEDAN ist ideal für den puren Genuss, gerne auch mit einem Tropfen Wasser zur Öffnung des Aromaspektrums. Der Whisky passt hervorragend zu regionalen Spezialitäten wie mildem Bergkäse, Laugengebäck oder fränkischer Bratwurst.
