Hergestellt vom traditionsreichen Weingut Bodegas Campillo, das zur renommierten Grupo Faustino gehört, stammt dieser Wein aus sorgfältig selektierten Parzellen der Rioja Alavesa – einer der höchstgelegenen und kühlsten Regionen innerhalb der Appellation. Die klimatischen Bedingungen und kalkhaltigen Lehmböden sorgen für besonders aromatische und ausgewogene Trauben.
Für diesen charaktervollen Weißwein wird hauptsächlich Viura verwendet – die klassische Weißweinrebsorte der Rioja. Nach der sorgfältigen Lese erfolgt die Gärung in französischen Eichenfässern, in denen der Wein auch für mehrere Monate auf der Feinhefe reift. Diese Vinifikation verleiht dem Wein Struktur, Tiefe und eine harmonische Holznote, ohne die Frische und Eleganz zu überdecken. Der Jahrgang 2024 zeigt einmal mehr die stilistische Handschrift des Hauses: ausgewogen, finessenreich und modern interpretiert. Tasting notes:
Im Glas präsentiert sich der Wein in einem hellen Strohgelb mit goldenen Reflexen. Das Bouquet ist komplex und elegant mit Aromen von reifem Apfel, Zitrusfrüchten, Vanille und gerösteten Mandeln, dazu gesellen sich feine florale Anklänge und ein Hauch Buttergebäck. Am Gaumen ist er geschmeidig und vollmundig, mit gut integrierter Eichenholznote, frischer Säure und cremiger Textur. Der Nachhall ist lange anhaltend, mit Noten von Zitruszesten, geröstetem Holz und einer subtilen Mineralik.
Ein idealer Begleiter zu gegrilltem Fisch, gebratenem Geflügel, Meeresfrüchten, Risotto mit Safran oder gereiftem Ziegenkäse. Auch zu vegetarischen Gerichten mit Nussbutter, Pilzen oder geröstetem Gemüse entfaltet er sein volles Potenzial.
