Destilliert im Jahr 2015, reifte dieser Whisky für volle 10 Jahre in Fass #82 und wurde 2025 in Fassstärke (Cask Strength) mit 55,3 % Vol. abgefüllt – selbstverständlich nicht kühlfiltriert und ohne Zusatz von Farbstoff.
Die Tomintoul-Brennerei, auch bekannt als "The Gentle Dram", ist für ihren weichen, eleganten Hausstil bekannt. Doch diese Abfüllung zeigt eine neue Facette: mehr Kraft, mehr Tiefe, mehr Charakter. Die Reifung in einem ausgewählten Einzelfass hat dem Whisky eine ausgeprägte Struktur verliehen, die perfekt mit den floralen und fruchtigen Noten des Destillats harmoniert. Tasting notes:
Farbe: Goldenes Bernstein – natürliche Fassfarbe.
Nase: Frisch und kraftvoll mit hellen Früchten, Honig, Vanille, Butterkeks und einem Hauch Eichenwürze.
Geschmack: Intensiv und cremig mit Noten von gelben Äpfeln, Toffee, gerösteten Nüssen und einem Touch weißem Pfeffer.
Abgang: Lang und angenehm trocken mit würzigem Nachhall, feiner Süße und zarten Holznoten.
