Mit einem Alkoholgehalt von 45,8% Vol., einer Reifezeit von mindestens 10 Jahren und abgefüllt in einer 0,7-Liter-Flasche, zählt er zu den bekanntesten und beliebtesten Single Malts Schottlands.
Die Reifung erfolgt in Eichenfässern, überwiegend Ex-Bourbon-Casks, die dem Whisky eine harmonische Balance aus maritimer Frische, kräftigem Rauch und süßer Würze verleihen. Typisch für Talisker sind die intensiven, leicht salzigen Noten, die den Charakter der Isle of Skye perfekt widerspiegeln. Der 10-jährige bildet den Grundstein des Portfolios und gilt als authentischer Ausdruck der Brennerei, die seit 1830 für ihren unverwechselbaren Insel-Whisky steht. Tasting notes:
Farbe: Gold mit kupfernen Reflexen.
Nase: Kraftvoll und frisch mit Torfrauch, maritimen Noten, Salz, Zitrus und Malz.
Geschmack: Vollmundig, pfeffrig und rauchig mit Karamell, süßem Malz, Eiche und einem Hauch Früchte.
Abgang: Lang anhaltend, wärmend und würzig mit Rauch, Pfeffer und salziger Brise.
Der Talisker 10 Years Old entfaltet seine ganze Kraft pur im Nosing-Glas oder mit einem Spritzer Wasser, der die maritime Frische und die würzigen Nuancen betont.
