Bumbu XO Handcrafted Rum 40% Vol. 0,7 l steht für opulente Rumkunst mit karibischen Wurzeln und moderner Präzision. Die Marke Bumbu greift für diese Abfüllung auf ein historisches Rumrezept aus dem 16. und 17. Jahrhundert zurück, das ursprünglich von Seeleuten in den West Indies entwickelt wurde. Heute entsteht der Bumbu XO in Panama, wo feinstes Zuckerrohr destilliert und der Rum mit großer Sorgfalt weiterverarbeitet wird.
Die Reifung erfolgt über einen Zeitraum von bis zu 15 Jahren in ausgewählten Eichenfässern, bevor der Rum sein finales Finish in spanischen Ex-Sherry-Fässern erhält. Diese Kombination aus langer Fassreife und Sherryveredelung verleiht dem Handcrafted Rum seine ausgeprägte Tiefe, elegante Süße und komplexe Struktur. Der Ausbau unter tropischen Bedingungen intensiviert die Fassinteraktion und sorgt für einen besonders runden, weich ausgeprägten Charakter, der den Bumbu XO klar von klassischen Melasse-Rums abhebt. Farbe: Dunkles Mahagoni mit warmen kupferfarbenen Reflexen.
Nase: Toffee, geröstete Eiche und Vanille mit feinen Anklängen von Karamell.
Geschmack: Orangenzeste, cremige Vanille, dezente Gewürznoten und elegante Holznuancen.
Abgang: Lang anhaltend, süßlich, reichhaltig und harmonisch.
