SPEY Single Malt stands for the art of handcrafted whisky from the heart of Scotland's Speyside. In the idyllic Speyside Distillery, close to the River Tromie, single malts with a strong character and individual signature have been created since 1990.
Region & origin
The Speyside Distillery is located in Drumguish, at the foot of the Cairngorm Mountains. The distillery draws its water from the clear River Tromie, a tributary of the River Spey, and uses regional barley to produce its whiskies.
Production & craft
With a production capacity of just 600,000 liters per year, the Speyside Distillery is one of Scotland's smaller distilleries. The whiskies are distilled in traditional copper pot stills and matured in selected oak casks, including ex-bourbon and sherry casks.
