The idea behind the Mistico Speziale spirits brand goes back to its founder Saverio Denti, who initially studied pharmacy but put all his knowledge into practice before leaving university. At the age of 26, he began producing medicinal herbs on the family's own property in Italy and processed them into aromatic infusions and distillates. In addition to absinthe, this also included the so-called Liqueur of Poets, the company's flagship product, to which Saverio Denti later dedicated his thesis.
Together with his sister Valentina, he founded the spirits brand Mistico Speziale in 2010 and launched his products on the market on a larger scale. Over time, he also refined his product range and now offers not only tasty absinthe but also liqueurs, the traditional Nocino and elixirs with oriental spices. All products are characterized by the selection of exquisite ingredients, most of which come from the company's own fields and meadows. Here, on a strip of land between Via Emilia and Reggio Emilia, aromatic lemon balm, mint, wormwood, aniseed, fennel and many other medicinal herbs grow naturally. Both harvesting and production are carried out by hand, ensuring that Mistico Speziale impresses with its outstanding quality and unadulterated taste.
