The Kuenz Naturbrennerei Rauchkofel Single Malt Whisky Sherry Cask Finished is an outstanding Austrian single malt whisky that is lovingly handcrafted by the 12th generation at the Kuenz Kienzhof in East Tyrol. With an alcohol content of 43% vol. and a strictly limited edition of only 2,064 bottles, which were obtained from 7 carefully selected casks, this single malt is one of the most exclusive whiskies in Austria.
The Rauchkofel is distilled twice using the traditional method in small copper stills. First-fill barrels made from Styrian oak are used for maturation, giving the whisky its complex structure, fine woody notes and harmonious depth. The subsequent finish in first-fill sherry casks rounds off the taste profile with fruity sweetness and spicy elegance - a perfect finish for this expressive Alpine whisky.
