The special thing about this bottling: "Tourbé" is the French word for "peated" and refers to the intensely smoky character of this whisky.
The distillery is known for carrying out the entire production process itself - from barley cultivation and malting to distillation and maturation. Heavily peated malt is used for the Tourbé Collection, which gives the whisky its characteristic smokiness. Maturation takes place in a combination of bourbon barrels and sherry casks, which adds sweet, fruity and spicy aromas alongside the dominant peat note.
