Kingsbarns Distillery is located in the fertile Kingdom of Fife, also known as the granary of Scotland, and is run by the Wemyss family. The Distillery Reserve 2024 is the Kingsbarns Distillery's most mature whisky to date, a limited edition single malt at cask strength, matured exclusively in ex-Oloroso sherry casks. With only 3000 bottles available, this whisky embodies the distillery's characteristic Lowland style, which is characterized by lively fruity notes and delicate floral aromas.
Six American oak sherry butts, known for their rich, fruity and complex character, were selected for maturation. This particular cask selection and careful maturation process gives the whisky a deep, rich color and complex flavor profile, making it an excellent choice for connoisseurs of sherry-matured whiskies.
