Der Hans Igler Vulcano Cuvée 2020 ist ein kraftvoller, eleganter Rotwein aus dem Burgenland, der mit Tiefe, Struktur und viel Charakter überzeugt. Diese charakterstarke Cuvée stammt aus dem traditionsreichen Weingut Hans Igler in Deutschkreutz, das seit Jahrzehnten zu den Aushängeschildern des österreichischen Rotweinbaus zählt. Der Vulcano ist ein echter Klassiker des Hauses und wird nur in besonders guten Jahren mit so viel Ausdruck und Finesse wie im Jahrgang 2020 abgefüllt.
Die Cuvée setzt sich aus Blaufränkisch, Zweigelt, Merlot und Cabernet Sauvignon zusammen – eine kraftvolle Kombination, die Frucht, Würze und Struktur in perfekter Harmonie vereint. Die Reben wachsen auf einer Mischung aus Schotter-, Sand- und Lehmböden, welche dem Wein seine mineralische Frische und Tiefe verleihen. Die Gärung erfolgt im geschlossenen Stahltank bei 28–30 °C, gefolgt von einer 14-tägigen Maischestandzeit, anschließendem biologischen Säureabbau und einem 15-monatigen Ausbau in Barriques, davon 50 % in neuem Holz. Abgefüllt mit Naturkorken, entfaltet sich das volle Potenzial dieser Cuvée ideal in der 1,5-Liter-Magnumflasche. Die Trinkreife reicht bis mindestens 2030 – perfekt für Weinliebhaber mit Geduld.

Im Glas zeigt sich der Vulcano in einem dunklen Ziegelrot. In der Nase dominieren Aromen von reifer Kirsche, kandierten Beeren und Heidelbeeren, begleitet von feinen Röstaromen. Am Gaumen überzeugt der Wein mit einem festen Tanninkern, eleganter Tiefe und saftigem Körper. Der Abgang ist lang und fruchtbetont, mit Noten von Cranberry, dezenter Würze und einem harmonischen, frischen Nachhall. Ein Wein mit Komplexität, Struktur und langem Leben.
