Die Cuvée des Jahrgangs 2023 besteht aus 51 % Cabernet Sauvignon, 44 % Merlot und 5 % Petit Verdot – eine kraftvolle Komposition, die Fruchtfülle, Struktur und Tiefe miteinander vereint. Die Vinifikation erfolgt klassisch im Edelstahltank, um Frische, Präzision und sortentypische Ausdruckskraft zu erhalten. Auf eine Barriquereifung wird bewusst verzichtet, um den puren Charakter der Rebsorten und des Terroirs herauszustellen. Mit einem Alkoholgehalt von 13 % Vol., einem Naturkork-Verschluss und einer Trinkreife bis 2031 bietet dieser Wein beeindruckende Vielseitigkeit und Langlebigkeit. Tasting notes:
Im Glas zeigt sich der Le Volte dell’Ornellaia 2023 in einem tiefen Rubinrot mit purpurnem Schimmer. Die Nase verführt mit Aromen von reifen Kirschen, schwarzen Johannisbeeren, Waldbeeren, begleitet von feinen Gewürznoten, Zedernholz und einem Hauch Lakritze. Am Gaumen zeigt sich der Wein weich, rund und zugleich strukturiert, mit feingliedrigem Tannin, erfrischender Säure und einem balancierten, lang anhaltenden Abgang, der von dunkler Frucht und mineralischer Klarheit geprägt ist.
Der Le Volte 2023 ist ein idealer Speisenbegleiter zu italienischer Küche und überzeugt besonders zu Pasta mit Ragù, Risotto mit Pilzen, gefüllten Cannelloni, aber auch zu geschmortem Rind, Lammkoteletts oder gereiftem Käse. Auch solo genossen macht dieser toskanische Rotwein eine großartige Figur. Servieren bei 16–18 °C im Rotweinglas für den perfekten Genussmoment.
