Der Murray McDavid North British 13 Years Old 2011 ist eine außergewöhnlich gereifte Single Grain Scotch Whisky-Abfüllung, die aus der traditionsreichen North British Distillery stammt – einer der ältesten und renommiertesten Grain-Brennereien Schottlands. Diese exklusive Edition wurde im Jahr 2011 destilliert und reifte insgesamt 13 Jahre, wobei sie durch eine besondere Doppelfassveredelung geprägt wurde: zunächst in Murça Port Casks und abschließend in süß-aromatischen Pedro Ximénez (PX) Casks des Hauses Spinola.
Abgefüllt wurde dieser Whisky mit kräftigen 51,7 % Vol., selbstverständlich nicht kühlfiltriert und ungefärbt, wodurch seine natürliche Fasscharakteristik erhalten bleibt. Die aufwendige Fasskombination verleiht dem Whisky ein intensiv fruchtiges, süßes und vielschichtiges Profil – eine geschmacklich eindrucksvolle Symbiose aus weich gereiftem Grain Whisky und den reichen, weinbetonten Aromen der verwendeten Fässer.

Farbe: Dunkles Gold mit rötlich-braunem Einschlag.
Nase: Komplex und üppig mit Aromen von Rosinen, getrockneten Feigen, dunklen Beeren, Toffee und Vanille.
Geschmack: Vollmundig und samtig mit Noten von roten Trauben, Honig, Muscovado-Zucker, reifen Kirschen und cremigem Karamell.
Abgang: Lang, süß-würzig und weich mit Trockenfrüchten und edler Weinnote.
Am besten pur oder mit wenigen Tropfen Wasser genießen, um das volle Aromenspektrum der Port- und PX-Fassreifung zu entfalten.
