Der Inchgower 13 Years Old 2011 wurde von Signatory Vintage für die exklusive Cask Strength Collection ausgewählt und reifte vollständig in einem 1st Fill Marsala Hogshead – genauer gesagt in Fass Nr. 105. Diese besondere Reifung verleiht dem Whisky eine beeindruckende aromatische Tiefe mit süß-fruchtigen und würzigen Komponenten, wie sie für Marsala-Weinfässer typisch sind.
Mit satten 59,7 % Vol. Fassstärke, wird der Whisky in natürlicher Form abgefüllt – ohne Kühlfiltration und ohne Farbstoffe. Dadurch bleibt das volle Aromenspektrum erhalten und bietet ein intensives, komplexes Geschmackserlebnis. Die Kombination aus dem markanten Charakter von Inchgower und der reichen, süß-würzigen Marsala-Fassnote ergibt einen bemerkenswerten Single Malt, der nicht nur Kenner begeistert. Präsentiert wird die Abfüllung in der edlen, metallisch glänzenden Tinbox der Cask Strength Collection. Tasting notes:
Farbe: Tiefes Gold mit bernsteinfarbenem Glanz.
Nase: Komplex mit Noten von Honig, Trockenfrüchten, Orangenschale, Marzipan und Gewürzen.
Geschmack: Vollmundig, reichhaltig und süß mit Aromen von karamellisiertem Zucker, reifen Aprikosen, würzigem Eichenholz und zarten Anklängen von Pfeffer und Vanille.
Abgang: Lang, intensiv und angenehm wärmend mit einer Kombination aus fruchtiger Süße und würziger Tiefe.
