Die zweifache Reifung erfolgt zunächst in amerikanischen Weißeichenfässern, die dem Whisky Noten von Vanille und Honig verleihen, bevor er in ehemaligen Oloroso-Sherryfässern aus Spanien veredelt wird. Diese zweite Phase bringt Tiefe, dunkle Fruchtnoten und eine sanfte Würze. Der Alkoholgehalt von 40 % Vol. sorgt für ein weiches, zugängliches Mundgefühl – ideal sowohl für Einsteiger als auch für erfahrene Whisky-Liebhaber. Farbe: Warmer Bernstein mit goldenen Reflexen.
Nase: Fruchtig und sanft – reife Äpfel, Rosinen, süßer Sherry, Vanille und ein Hauch Zimt.
Geschmack: Vollmundig und ausbalanciert, mit Aromen von getrockneten Früchten, Honig, Zimt, leichtem Eichenholz und etwas Karamell.
Abgang: Lang anhaltend, weich und leicht würzig mit süßem Nachklang.
Am besten entfaltet sich dieser Whisky pur oder mit einem Tropfen Wasser im Nosing-Glas. Auch als Digestif eignet er sich hervorragend, besonders in Kombination mit feiner Zartbitterschokolade, gebackenem Apfel oder einem milden Blauschimmelkäse.
