Ein seltener Tropfen aus der Speyside: Dieser 8 Jahre alte Single Malt Scotch Whisky stammt aus der aufstrebenden Dalmunach Distillery, die seit ihrer Gründung moderne Technik mit traditioneller Handwerkskunst verbindet. Die Destillation erfolgte am 11.10.2016, abgefüllt wurde der Whisky exakt am 05.03.2025 – das Ergebnis ist eine auf nur 143 Flaschen weltweit limitierte Einzelfassabfüllung mit echtem Sammlerwert.
Ausgebaut wurde dieser unpeated Single Malt in einem 1st Fill Pedro Ximénez Sherry Quarter Cask, der dem Whisky eine intensive Aromatik und ausgeprägte Fassreife verliehen hat. Abgefüllt in Fassstärke (Cask Strength) mit 56,2 % Vol., präsentiert sich dieser Whisky naturbelassen – ohne Kühlfiltration und ohne Farbstoff. Durch die Kombination aus kleiner Fassgröße und süßem PX-Sherry-Einfluss entsteht ein vollmundiger, tief strukturierter Speyside-Whisky mit Charakter. Tasting notes:
Farbe: Dunkles Gold mit kupfernem Schimmer.
Nase: Üppig süß mit Noten von Rosinen, Datteln, dunkler Schokolade und getrockneten Feigen.
Geschmack: Vollmundig, ölig, mit Aromen von Sherry, Zimt, Pflaumenkompott, Toffee und einer angenehmen Eichennote.
Abgang: Lang und wärmend, geprägt von süßem Eichenholz, Schokoladen-Nuancen und zarter Würze.
Dieser kraftvolle Speyside-Whisky entfaltet sein volles Potenzial pur in einem Nosing-Glas bei Zimmertemperatur – optional mit wenigen Tropfen Wasser zur Aromenöffnung. Ideal als Digestif nach einem reichhaltigen Dinner, in Begleitung von reifem Käse, dunkler Schokolade mit Orangenzeste oder getrockneten Früchten.
