Der Ausbau erfolgt im Stahltank, um die pure Frucht und die natürliche Ausdruckskraft der Rebsorte zu bewahren. Mit einem Alkoholgehalt von 14 % Vol. zeigt sich der 2022er Jahrgang kraftvoll, konzentriert und dennoch elegant – ein Chardonnay mit Tiefe, Stoffigkeit und burgenländischem Selbstbewusstsein. Im Glas präsentiert sich der Chardonnay Unplugged in einem brillanten Strohgelb mit goldenen Reflexen. In der Nase zeigen sich intensive Aromen von reifer Honigmelone, gelbem Apfel, etwas Mango und zarter Zitrusfrische, untermalt von einer feinen mineralischen Note. Am Gaumen wirkt der Wein saftig, vollmundig und dicht, mit einer spürbaren, aber gut eingebundenen Säure, viel Frucht und leicht cremiger Textur. Der Nachhall ist lang, würzig und mit feiner Kraft, typisch für Reehs unverfälschte Stilistik.
Der Chardonnay Unplugged passt hervorragend zu gegrilltem oder gebratenem Fisch, hellem Fleisch, cremigen Pasta-Gerichten und würzigen Gemüsekreationen.
