Der Faustino VII Tempranillo 2023 stammt aus dem Herzen der Rioja – einer der renommiertesten Weinregionen Spaniens – und repräsentiert die klassische Handschrift des Hauses Bodegas Faustino, das seit über 150 Jahren für exzellente Qualität und Traditionsbewusstsein steht. Dieser reinsortige Tempranillo bietet einen zugänglichen, gleichzeitig charaktervollen Einstieg in die Welt der Rioja-Rotweine und ist das Ergebnis sorgfältiger Arbeit im Weinberg wie auch im Keller.
Die Reben wachsen auf kalkhaltigen Tonböden unter idealen klimatischen Bedingungen in der Rioja Alavesa. Die selektive Lese und eine kontrollierte Vergärung in Edelstahltanks bilden die Grundlage für die klare Frucht und Balance dieses Weines. Im Anschluss reift der Tempranillo für einige Monate in amerikanischen Eichenfässern, was ihm subtile Röstaromen und Struktur verleiht, ohne die Frische der Frucht zu überlagern.

Im Glas zeigt sich der Faustino VII in einem leuchtenden Rubinrot mit kirschfarbenen Reflexen. Die Nase überzeugt mit Aromen von reifen roten Beeren, Kirschen und feiner Vanille, begleitet von würzigen Noten und einem Hauch Zedernholz. Am Gaumen präsentiert sich der Wein geschmeidig und ausgewogen, mit gut eingebundenen Tanninen, harmonischer Säure und einer lebendigen Fruchtigkeit, die bis ins sanft würzige, mittelkräftige Finale trägt.
Ein vielseitiger Speisenbegleiter, der hervorragend zu Tapas, gegrilltem Fleisch, Pasta mit Tomatensaucen, Paella oder mildem Käse passt. Auch solo getrunken bietet er unkomplizierten, dennoch stilvollen Genuss. Ideal serviert bei einer Temperatur von 16–18 °C.
