Der KRISPEL Chardonnay Straden Vulkanland Steiermark DAC 2023 ist ein herausragender Weißwein aus biologischem Anbau, der eindrucksvoll zeigt, wie viel Charakter und Herkunft in einem Chardonnay aus dem steirischen Vulkanland stecken kann. Das Weingut Krispel, gelegen in der malerischen Region Straden, verbindet seit jeher nachhaltige Landwirtschaft mit präziser Handarbeit im Weinberg und Keller. Dieser Jahrgang stammt von sorgfältig gepflegten Lagen auf vulkanischem Untergrund und überzeugt durch Finesse, Struktur und ein elegantes Aromenspiel.
Der Ausbau erfolgt für zehn Monate im großen Holzfass aus französischer Eiche – eine Vinifikation, die dem Wein Tiefe, feine Würze und eine dezente Cremigkeit verleiht, ohne dabei die Frische zu überdecken. Trotz seiner Kraft und Reifefähigkeit zeigt sich der Chardonnay erstaunlich trinkfreudig, mit geschliffener Balance und einem langen, mineralisch geprägten Nachhall. Der Schraubverschluss sorgt für optimale Frische und Langlebigkeit. Mit einem Lagerpotential bis 2035 eignet sich dieser DAC-Wein sowohl für den sofortigen Genuss als auch zur weiteren Reifung. Ein Weißwein, der die Stilistik des Vulkanlands in ihrer besten Form repräsentiert – klar, druckvoll und terroirbetont. Tasting notes:
Im Glas präsentiert sich der KRISPEL Chardonnay 2023 in einem blassen Goldgelb mit grünlichen Reflexen. In der Nase offenbaren sich Aromen von rotem Apfel, feinem Blütennektar und einer subtilen Rauchnote, die sich mit Gewürznelke und Piment entwickeln. Am Gaumen trocken und vielschichtig, zeigt er eine würzige, fast salzige Komponente. Der erste Eindruck ist zart opulent, mit cremiger Textur, die von einer gut eingebundenen Säure begleitet wird. Der Wein endet in einem mineralisch klaren, langanhaltenden Abgang.
