Der Botafogo Dark Rum stammt aus der karibischen Rumhochburg Trinidad & Tobago und überzeugt mit seiner aromatischen Tiefe und Würze. Mit einem Alkoholgehalt von 40% Vol. und abgefüllt in einer 0,7-Liter-Flasche ist er ein vollmundiger Vertreter karibischer Rumtradition, der sowohl pur als auch in Cocktails eine exzellente Figur macht.
Hergestellt wird dieser Dark Rum überwiegend aus Melasse, die zunächst in Column Stills destilliert und anschließend in Eichenfässern gereift wird. Durch die Fasslagerung erhält er seine dunkle Farbe und die charakteristischen Noten von Karamell, Vanille, geröstetem Holz und leichter Würze. Typisch für Rum aus Trinidad & Tobago ist seine geschmeidige Struktur, die elegante Süße und feine Balance zwischen Frucht und Würze.
