Der Edradour 13 Years Old Small Batch Single Malt Scotch Whisky ist eine exklusive Limited Edition aus der kleinsten traditionellen Brennerei der schottischen Highlands. Die Edradour Distillery ist bekannt für ihre handwerkliche Produktion in kleinen Mengen und ihre außergewöhnlichen Fassauswahlen. Diese besondere Abfüllung wurde im April 2012 destilliert und am 09. Juli 2025 abgefüllt, wodurch er eine Reifezeit von 13 Jahren erhielt. Mit einer Limitierung auf nur 1.983 Flaschen ist dieser Whisky ein begehrtes Sammlerstück.
Die Reifung erfolgte in First Fill Sauternes Hogsheads mit den Fassnummern 168, 169, 171, 172, 173 und 174. Durch diese Fassauswahl entfaltet der Single Malt intensive Fruchtnoten, süße Eleganz und eine außergewöhnliche Komplexität, die den Einfluss des französischen Dessertweins perfekt widerspiegelt. Abgefüllt wurde er mit 48,2% Vol., selbstverständlich ohne Kühlfiltrierung und ohne Farbstoffe, wodurch seine natürliche Farbe und volle Aromatik bewahrt bleiben. Verpackt in einer hochwertigen Geschenkbox präsentiert er sich als exklusive Rarität für Kenner und Liebhaber der Edradour-Brennerei. Tasting notes:
Farbe: Gold mit honigfarbenen Reflexen.
Nase: Reife Aprikosen, Honigmelone, Vanille, Trockenfrüchte und dezente Eichenwürze.
Geschmack: Vollmundig, süß und fruchtig, mit Noten von Trauben, Pfirsichen, Honig und cremiger Vanille, dazu feine Gewürze und Holz.
Abgang: Lang, weich und elegant mit einer Kombination aus Süße, Zitrusnoten und würziger Tiefe.
Der Edradour 13 Years Old First Fill Sauternes Cask zeigt seine Eleganz pur bei Zimmertemperatur. Er passt ideal zu fruchtigen Desserts wie Tarte Tatin oder Panna Cotta, harmoniert mit mildem Weichkäse wie Brie oder Ziegenkäse und begleitet ebenso feine Speisen wie gebratene Jakobsmuscheln.
