Hergestellt wird er aus einer Cuvée der klassischen Rebsorten Corvina, Rondinella und Molinara, die in den Hügeln rund um Verona auf mineralisch geprägten Böden gedeihen. Besonders ist das von Masi entwickelte Doppio Fermentazione-Verfahren: Nach der ersten Gärung wird dem jungen Wein ein Teil getrockneter Trauben zugesetzt, was ihm zusätzliche Tiefe, Fülle und Komplexität verleiht – ähnlich dem Verfahren beim Amarone, jedoch frischer und eleganter.
Mit einem Alkoholgehalt von 13 % Vol. verbindet der Campofiorin Kraft mit Eleganz und ist ein Paradebeispiel für die Innovationskraft des Hauses Masi, das Tradition und Moderne meisterhaft verbindet. In der Nase entfalten sich Aromen von reifen Kirschen, dunklen Pflaumen und Waldbeeren, die von feinen Noten von Kakao, Vanille und süßen Gewürzen begleitet werden. Am Gaumen wirkt er vollmundig und samtig, mit reifen Tanninen, ausgewogener Frische und einem langen Abgang, in dem fruchtige und würzige Nuancen harmonisch ineinandergreifen.
