The Macallan 12 Years Old DOUBLE CASK COLLECTION 40% Vol. 0.7 l + GB is an outstanding single malt Scotch whisky from the renowned The Macallan Distillery in the Scottish Speyside and embodies the perfect balance between tradition, craftsmanship and innovative maturation. This edition is part of the Double Cask Collection, which represents the perfect marriage of two worlds - European and American oak casks seasoned with fine sherry wine in Jerez de la Frontera, Spain.



The maturation process in these two types of cask gives the whisky an incomparable depth and complexity. The European oak casks bring structured spice and rich sherry notes, while the American oak casks provide soft vanilla, creamy sweetness and gentle harmony. The result is a well-balanced single malt that is characterized by its natural color, aromatic elegance and smooth mouthfeel.



Inspired by the idea of the "Story of Two Woods", this edition celebrates the harmonious combination of both types of wood. The art of cask management plays a central role: each component is carefully crafted in the company's own bodegas and cooperages in Jerez to ensure the unmistakable Macallan style. The artful design of this edition was created by David Carson, a well-known graphic translator of the Macallan philosophy, and symbolizes the creative journey of the sherry-seasoned oak casks. Nose: Fudge with candied orange and lemon, accompanied by vanilla, sweet oak and a hint of honey.

Taste: Creamy toffee, milk chocolate and raisins, balanced by orange zest, gentle spices and subtle wood notes.

Finish: Medium length, with sweet oak, soft spice and delicate sherry sweetness.

The Macallan 12 Years Old Double Cask unfolds its elegance best neat or with a drop of water to emphasize the fine sherry and vanilla notes. It is an excellent culinary accompaniment to caramelized desserts such as crème brûlée or apple tart, as well as dark chocolate with orange zest or mild cheeses such as Brie or Camembert. As an accompaniment to smoked salmon or duck breast with orange sauce, it emphasizes its fruity and spicy depth.
