Description

The Knöbl Scheurebe 2024 is a semi-dry white wine from the Scheurebe grape variety, also known as Sämling 88, and combines historical grape variety tradition with modern, clear stylistics. The variety was bred at the beginning of the 20th century by Georg Scheu at the State Institute for Vine Breeding in Alzey and is now one of Austria's aromatic white wines full of character. Scheurebe has established itself particularly well in Burgenland and Styria, where it is prized for its fruity profile and fine residual sweetness. At 11.5% vol., the 2024 vintage is accessible, light and aromatically structured. The combination of regional origin, animating sweetness and the typical characteristics of the grape variety make this wine an elegant, modern interpretation of the classic Sämling 88.

Thanks to the natural aroma of the Scheurebe and the deliberate semi-dry orientation, the Knöbl Scheurebe 2024 offers a good balance between sweetness, fruit and lively acidity. The wine-growing tradition of the variety, combined with careful processing, creates a white wine that is convincing both on its own and as an accompaniment to food. Muscat tones and an animating residual sweetness emphasize the modern signature of this vintage, which is ideal for numerous moments of enjoyment and conveys an authentic impression thanks to its regional roots.
