The Meukow V.S.O.P. Superior Cognac Red 40% Vol. 0.7 l represents the long tradition of the House of Meukow, which has been developing cognacs that characterize the sophisticated taste of an international cognac culture since the 19th century. The very first batches were destined for Tsar Alexander II and laid the foundations for the brand's worldwide recognition. Production is based on double distillation and careful selection of the eaux-de-vie, which are aged for at least two years in oak barrels. These come from different regions of the six official Cognac crus - including Grande Champagne, Petite Champagne, Fins Bois, Bons Bois, Borderies and Bois Ordinaires.

Under the direction of cellar master Anne Sarteaux, one of the few women in this position, a complex blend is created that represents the typical Meukow style. The Grande and Petite Champagne provide floral depth and aromatic complexity, while the eaux-de-vie from Fins Bois, Bons Bois and Borderies contribute fruity notes and harmonious wood nuances. The result is a Cognac with suppleness, strength and elegant structure, which impresses with its clear composition and long-lasting aromatic depth. The Meukow V.S.O.P. Superior Cognac Red is ideal for pure enjoyment or slightly tempered to optimally develop its floral and fruity depth. A harmonious combination is created with desserts such as crème brûlée, apple tart, dark chocolate or caramel pastries. It also goes well with mildly matured cheese, foie gras or nutty specialties. In mixology, it forms a sophisticated base for cocktails such as Sidecar, Vieux Carré or French Connection, in which its fruity elegance and balanced barrel notes come into their own.
