Description

The Saint James Pure Canne Paille is a traditional rhum agricole from Martinique, made exclusively from freshly pressed sugar cane juice. The Saint James distillery, founded in 1765, is one of the oldest and most renowned producers in the French Antilles. The term Paille refers to the short maturation in oak barrels, which gives this rum its characteristic straw-golden color and a fine woody note. Produced in accordance with the AOC Martinique origin and quality specifications, this rum is particularly authentic and expressive. Pure Canne Paille combines the typical grassy and fresh sugar ear notes of an agricole rum with the gentle influences of barrel ageing, creating a harmonious interplay of aromas.

In terms of style, the rum moves between fresh clarity and subtle hints of wood, which makes it versatile - both on its own as a light enjoyment and as a high-quality base for classic and modern drinks. The Saint James distillery is known for its sustainable production, the traditional column still method and a particularly pure and unadulterated aroma profile. The Pure Canne Paille impressively demonstrates how traditional rum craftsmanship can be combined with modern, precise production at the highest level. The Saint James Pure Canne Paille is ideal for Ti' Punch, daiquiri variations, rum highballs or fresh summer drinks, where the naturalness of the sugar cane is in the foreground. It also goes very well with tropical desserts such as pineapple tart, mango sorbet, coconut cream or banana cake. In combination with mild cheese, grilled pineapple, lime cookies or caramelized nuts, its fine barrel notes unfold particularly harmoniously.
