Saint James has been producing Rhum Agricole of the highest quality in Martinique since 1765. Made from fresh sugar cane juice and distilled in traditional Creole columns, Saint James stands for authentic taste and craftsmanship. As one of the first rums with AOC certification, it represents the rich rum culture of the Caribbean.
The distillery is located in Sainte-Marie, Martinique, surrounded by its own sugar cane plantations. The tropical climate and volcanic soil give the sugar cane and therefore the rum its unique character.
Saint James uses only freshly pressed sugar cane juice, which is fermented within a few hours and then distilled in creole columns. This method preserves the natural aromas and ensures a complex, aromatic rum.
Saint James' iconic square bottle was introduced in 1882 to facilitate transportation and minimize breakage. Today it is a trademark and symbol of the brand's long history.
