Founded in 1985, Barón de Ley combines the best of tradition and innovation. The winery is located in a restored 16th century Benedictine monastery in Mendavia, Navarra, and relies on the château concept: wines from its own carefully cultivated vineyards.
With over 600 hectares of vineyards in the DOCa Rioja, particularly in Rioja Oriental, Barón de Ley uses the Mediterranean climate and diverse soils to produce wines with a strong character.
The wines mature in over 15,000 barriques made from American and French oak. State-of-the-art cellar technology meets traditional methods to create wines with depth and elegance.
The labels reflect the combination of history and modernity, often with images of the monastery. The clear design underlines the premium quality of the wines.
Barón de Ley is committed to sustainable viticulture and relies on environmentally friendly practices in the vineyard and cellar.
