Dieses traditionelle und zugleich moderne Ausbauverfahren verleiht ihm Kraft, Eleganz und eine bemerkenswerte Tiefe. In der Nase offenbaren sich komplexe Aromen von dunklen Kirschen, Brombeeren und Pflaumen, begleitet von feinen Röstaromen, Zedernholz, Vanille und einem Hauch Schokolade. Am Gaumen wirkt er kraftvoll und samtig, mit reifen Tanninen, gut eingebundener Säure und einem langen, eleganten Abgang, der von fruchtigen und würzigen Nuancen geprägt ist.
Dieser Rioja Reserva-Charakterwein harmoniert hervorragend mit kräftigen Fleischgerichten wie Lammkeule, Rinderbraten, Wild oder gegrilltem Steak. Auch zu reifem Manchego, Blauschimmelkäse oder mediterranen Schmorgerichten zeigt er seine ganze Stärke.
