Château Pierrail is a family-run winery in the heart of Bordeaux that has been synonymous with elegant wines with character since 1970. Surrounded by French gardens and a historic château, red, white and rosé wines with an unmistakable terroir are produced here.
The winery is located in Margueron, around 10 km from Sainte-Foy-la-Grande, on a rocky outcrop with optimal exposure to the sun. The 90 hectares of vineyards benefit from clay and limestone soils, which give the wines their special structure.
Since the Demonchaux family took over in 1970, great importance has been attached to quality and sustainability. The wines are vinified traditionally and matured in oak barrels to achieve depth and complexity.
The 17th century château, surrounded by manicured gardens and a park, lends the winery a majestic aura. The labels reflect the elegance and tradition of the estate.
Château Pierrail relies on sustainable cultivation methods and respects the environment by controlling yields and avoiding excessive chemicals in order to preserve the naturalness of the wines.
