Description
The MICHAEL Pinot Gris Ried Hollerin 2024 is an expressive white wine from the Vulkanland Steiermark DAC, which impresses with its elegance, finesse and clear terroir character. The grapes come from the single vineyard Ried Hollerin, one of the most renowned vineyards in the region, which is known for its volcanic soils, good aeration and optimal sun exposure.
The 100% hand harvest took place on September 11, 2024, with selective selection directly in the vineyard. The Pinot Gris was then gently matured in stainless steel tanks and aged on the fine lees for five months to develop structure and depth. The wine is bottled with a screw cap, which guarantees freshness and uncomplicated drinking pleasure. With an alcohol content of 13% vol. and a drinking pleasure of at least 3-5 years, this DAC wine from Styria offers a modern, terroir-driven white wine experience at the highest level. The nose opens with a fine aroma of blood oranges, ripe pears, blossom honey and honeydew melon, complemented by subtle hazelnut notes. On the palate, the wine is harmonious, juicy and structured, with elegant freshness, a delicate melting texture and a mineral finish that reflects its volcanic origins.
