Besonders hervorzuheben ist der Barriqueausbau des Chardonnay-Anteils, der für 4 Monate in neuen Eichenfässern reifen durfte. Diese Teilreifung verleiht dem Wein eine zarte Cremigkeit und zusätzliche aromatische Tiefe, ohne seine Frische zu überlagern. Mit einem moderaten Alkoholgehalt von 13 % Vol. zeigt sich der Big John White ausgewogen, strukturiert und gleichzeitig angenehm leichtfüßig.
Diese Vermählung ergibt einen Weißwein mit ausdrucksstarker Frucht, gut integrierter Säure und feinaromatischer Würze, der sowohl im jugendlichen Zustand als auch mit etwas Reifezeit großes Potenzial bietet. Trinkreife von 2024 bis 2029 garantiert langanhaltenden Genuss auf höchstem Niveau. Tasting notes:
Im Glas präsentiert sich der Wein in einem klaren Strohgelb mit grünlichen Reflexen. Die Nase ist geprägt von zitrischen und tropischen Aromen, reifem Apfel, etwas Stachelbeere sowie zarten Noten von Vanille und heller Würze vom Barriqueausbau. Am Gaumen zeigt sich der Big John White 2024 raffiniert, lebendig und elegant, mit reifer, gut eingebundener Säure, cremigem Schmelz und einem harmonischen, fruchtgetragenen Abgang mit feiner Würze.
