Domäne Wachau Gelber Muskateller Terrassen 2024 is a wonderfully aromatic white wine from one of Austria's most renowned wine regions: the Wachau. The grapes for this vintage come from the steep, hand-worked terraced vineyards along the Danube, where mineral-rich primary rock soils and the interplay between warm days and cool nights produce a particularly fresh, delicately spicy interplay of aromas.

Domäne Wachau, one of Austria's leading wine estates, stands for the highest quality standards, sustainability and the artisanal cultivation of its vineyards. The Gelber Muskateller Terrassen is a prime example of the estate's philosophy: a typical varietal, animating white wine with plenty of freshness, fine aromas and character of origin. The Gelber Muskateller grape variety is one of the oldest cultivated white wine varieties in the world and is known for its flowery, grapey aromas.

With an alcohol content of 12% vol., this wine offers a light, fruity drinking experience that will appeal to both beginners and discerning wine lovers. This Muscat is ideal as an animating aperitif and harmonizes wonderfully with Asian cuisine, sushi, summer rolls, but also with light starters, vegetarian dishes or goat's cheese. It goes equally well with light fish dishes, asparagus or fruity salads with a citrus dressing.

Die Aromaausprägung dieses Muskatellers fällt jedes Jahr ein bisschen anders aus. Diesen 2024er finde ich ausgesprochen typisch, nicht zu laut im Aroma, aber doch eindeutig erkennbar. Am Gaumen unfassbar fein, reintönig und erfrischend. Ganz große Klasse!
