Der Foursquare Shibboleth 16 Years Old ist eine exklusive und besonders gereifte Abfüllung aus der international renommierten Exceptional Cask Selection der Foursquare Distillery auf Barbados. Als Single Blended Rum kombiniert er – typisch für Foursquare – sowohl Pot Still als auch Column Still Destillate und steht damit für die charakteristische Balance aus Kraft, Struktur und Eleganz, für die Master Distiller Richard Seale weltweit geschätzt wird.
Diese Edition wurde im Jahr 2005 destilliert und reifte über 16 Jahre vollständig unter tropischem Klima in ehemaligen Bourbonfässern aus amerikanischer Weißeiche. Die lange Fasslagerung verleiht dem Rum eine besonders dichte, komplexe Aromatik mit deutlichem Holzeinfluss und würziger Tiefe. Abgefüllt wurde der Shibboleth in Fassstärke mit 56 % Vol., selbstverständlich ohne Zucker, Farbstoffe oder Zusätze – ein echtes Qualitätsmerkmal der Foursquare-Philosophie.

Farbe: Dunkles Bernstein mit mahagonifarbenen Reflexen.
Nase: Tief und komplex mit Noten von Vanille, geröstetem Holz, süßen Gewürzen, getrockneten Feigen, Zimt und dunklem Rohrzucker.
Geschmack: Vollmundig, würzig und kraftvoll mit Eindrücken von Toffee, Muscovado, Eiche, Walnüssen und einer eleganten Trockenheit.
Abgang: Sehr lang und warm mit feiner Holznote, Karamell, Gewürznelke und einem Hauch Tabak.
Am besten entfaltet sich SHIBBOLETH pur bei Zimmertemperatur oder mit wenigen Tropfen Wasser, um die Tiefe der Aromen zu öffnen.
