In der Nase dominieren Aromen von schwarzen Johannisbeeren, Pflaumen und Brombeeren, ergänzt durch Noten von Schokolade, Zedernholz und feiner Würze. Am Gaumen ist er kraftvoll, fruchtbetont und strukturiert, mit samtigen Tanninen, gut integrierter Säure und einem langen, harmonischen Abgang.
Dieser australische Rotwein ist ein idealer Begleiter zu gegrilltem oder geschmortem Rindfleisch, Lamm, Wildgerichten oder kräftigen Pastagerichten. Auch zu gereiftem Hartkäse passt er hervorragend.
