Der Ausbau in französischen Barriques verleiht dem Wein Tiefe, Struktur und Finesse. Im Glas präsentiert sich der Escudo Rojo Gran Reserva 2022 in dunklem Rubinrot mit violetten Reflexen. In der Nase entfalten sich intensive Aromen von schwarzen Johannisbeeren, Kirschen und Pflaumen, begleitet von feinen Anklängen an Schokolade, Tabak, Gewürze und Röstaromen. Am Gaumen wirkt er kraftvoll, vollmundig und elegant, mit dichter Frucht, feiner Würze und straffen, gut eingebundenen Tanninen. Der Abgang ist lang, harmonisch und beeindruckend komplex.
