The Heinrich Chardonnay Leithaberg DAC 2023 is a precise, provenance-driven Chardonnay from Burgenland that clearly reflects the special geology and climate of the Leitha Mountains. Rooted in fossil-rich calcareous sandstone and mica schist soils on the eastern slopes of the Leitha Mountains, this wine develops its characteristic tension, depth and minerality. The vineyards are carefully cultivated biodynamically, with a high proportion of manual labor and consistent respect for the natural cycle. The grapes are hand-picked in mid-September and left on the skins for a few hours to deepen their structure and expression. With an alcohol content of 13%, the 2023 vintage is balanced, calm and clearly contoured.
