Armagnac Delord is a traditional family business that has been producing high-quality Bas-Armagnacs in Lannepax in south-western France for over 130 years. Founded by Prosper Delord, a traveling distiller, the art of distilling is now carried on in the fourth generation by Jérôme and Sylvain Delord.
Maison Delord cultivates 55 hectares with the four traditional Armagnac grape varieties: Ugni Blanc, Colombard, Folle Blanche and Baco. The grapes are vinified separately in order to preserve their characteristic aromas. Distillation takes place in winter in the in-house distillery, using both continuous distillation and double distillation - a rarity in the region. Two traditional alambics, including a historic Sier still from 1900, are available for this purpose.
The eaux-de-vie are matured in over 1,400 oak barrels in the historic cellars of Delord. Particularly valuable vintages, such as the oldest from 1900, are stored in the so-called "Paradis". The range includes:
