Champagne Bollinger - Pinot Noir excellence since 1829
Founded in Aÿ by Athanase de Villermont, Paul Renaudin and Jacques Bollinger, Champagne Bollinger is still family-run today and is known for characterful, structured champagnes with a high Pinot Noir content.
Region & Origin
With over 160 hectares of its own vineyards, including Grand Cru sites in Aÿ, Bouzy and Verzenay, Bollinger controls more than 60% of its grapes itself - a rarity in Champagne.
Production & craftsmanship
The wines are traditionally fermented in small oak barrels, supplemented with reserve wines from magnums and matured significantly longer than required by law. The R.D. cuvées ("récemment dégorgé") are only disgorged shortly before sale in order to guarantee maximum freshness.
