Hacienda Santa Teresa is located in the fertile Aragua Valley in Venezuela. The tropical climate and rich soil provide ideal conditions for growing sugar cane, the main ingredient of the rum.
Santa Teresa 1796 is distilled from molasses and undergoes a threefold ageing process: first separate ageing of different distillates, then solera barrel ageing and finally ageing in large French oak barrels. This process gives the rum its exceptional smoothness and complexity.
