Bildbeschreibung
The Wolfburn 12 Years Old is the new flagship of the Wolfburn range and is also impressive proof of the master craftsmanship of Scotland's northernmost mainland distillery. This premium single malt Scotch whisky comes from the small, independent Wolfburn Distillery in Thurso, situated on the windswept north coast of the Northern Highlands.

This single malt was matured in equal parts in ex-bourbon casks and second-fill Oloroso sherry butts - both casks carefully selected to create a perfect balance between fruit, spice, sweetness and subtle smokiness. The whisky was matured for a full twelve years in traditional Dunnage warehouses, giving it a particularly deep, multi-layered aroma and a velvety mouthfeel.

With an alcohol content of 46% vol., non-chill-filtered and bottled in its natural color, Wolfburn 12 Year Old impresses with its handcrafted authenticity and honest Highland character. (automated translation) Tasting notes: Color: Light amber.
Nose: Sweet and floral with aromas of honey, vanilla, hay flower and a hint of peat smoke - very harmonious and inviting.
Taste: Full-bodied and complex. Honey and candied sugar meet a subtle sherry sweetness, soft spicy notes and a hint of dried fruit.
Finish: Long, warm and balanced with notes of caramel, dates and subtle oak tones.

The Wolfburn 12 Years Old is ideal for drinking neat, preferably at room temperature or with a drop of water to develop its depth. It goes particularly well with dark chocolate with sea salt, roasted nuts, mature hard cheese or mild game dishes. This dram is also ideal as a stylish gift in a high-quality gift box - an authentic representative of the Northern Highlands with balance, maturity and character. (automated translation)
