The Rum Company TONKA TONKA with 40% vol. in a 0.7-litre bottle is an exceptional flavoured rum specialty that combines exotic spice, maturity and precision craftsmanship. This creation was developed by The Rum Company in close collaboration with the renowned spice expert Ingo Holland from the "Altes Gewürzamt" in Klingenberg. The aim of this collaboration was to identify the ideal tonka bean to refine a long-matured rum with an intense yet elegant aroma.
The tonka beans used come from the tonka bean tree, which grows mainly in northern South America, particularly in Brazil, but also in Trinidad and in tropical regions of Africa. The seeds of this tree are known for their distinctive fragrance, which evokes associations of vanilla, almonds, caramel and marzipan.
