Del Maguey Single Village Mezcal stands for authentic, handcrafted mezcal from Oaxaca, Mexico. Since 1995, the brand has been bringing the diversity of traditional village mezcals to the world - characterized by unique terroir, sustainable production and cultural depth.
Del Maguey mezcals come from different villages in Oaxaca, including San Luis del Río, Chichicapa and Santa Catarina Minas. Each bottling reflects the specific terroir and traditional methods of the respective community.
Production is carried out using traditional methods: The agave hearts are roasted in earth pits over hot stones, then crushed with a tahona (stone wheel) and fermented in open vats with natural yeasts. Distillation takes place in small copper or clay stills, which gives each mezcal a unique profile.
Del Maguey presents itself with minimalist labels that focus on the origin and artisanal character of the mezcals. Each bottle bears the name of the village from which it originates, telling the story of its creation.
Del Maguey is committed to sustainable practices, including biodiversity projects, reforestation and supporting local communities. The brand works closely with producer families to preserve traditional methods and protect the environment.
