Suze aperitif - French bitters with historical charm
Suze has been a French bitter full of character since 1889, based on yellow gentian root and other aromatic plants. The visually striking yellow color is created exclusively from natural extracts - without artificial additives. At 15% by volume, Suze is ideal as a light aperitif or cocktail ingredient.
Region & origin
Produced in the south of France (Thuir, Pyrénées-Orientales) - directly in the historic Pernod Ricard factory. The recipe originated in the Jura, founded by Fernand Moureaux, who developed it in 1885.
Production & craft
The yellow gentian root is macerated and distilled, then refined with other herbal and plant extracts. Suze is produced without added wine, artificial coloring or sugar to preserve its natural bitterness.
Varieties & Highlights
- Suze L'Originale Apéretif Élaboré 15% Vol. 1l: Classic with an intense root aroma and balanced herbal sweetness.

Design & brand appearance
