Die Trauben werden in den kühlen Morgenstunden gelesen, um ihre Frische zu bewahren, und anschließend schonend vinifiziert. Der Ausbau erfolgt teils im Edelstahltank, teils in Holz, um sowohl Primäraromen als auch Struktur zu betonen. Im Glas zeigt sich der Golden Kaan Shiraz 2023 in einem kräftigen Rubinrot mit violetten Reflexen. Die Nase ist geprägt von reifen dunklen Beeren, schwarzen Kirschen, einem Hauch Lakritze sowie feinen Noten von schwarzem Pfeffer und Vanille. Am Gaumen präsentiert sich der Wein vollmundig, saftig und rund, mit gut eingebundenen Tanninen, harmonischer Fruchtfülle und einem würzigen, leicht rauchigen Nachhall. Die Textur ist weich, der Abgang lang und angenehm würzig – typisch für einen Shiraz aus Südafrika.
Der Golden Kaan Shiraz ist ein perfekter Begleiter zu gegrilltem Fleisch, Burgern, Schmorgerichten, würzigen Lammgerichten oder reifem Käse. Auch zu vegetarischen Speisen mit geröstetem Gemüse, Pilzen oder kräftigen Saucen passt er hervorragend.
