Der Nature Syrah 2023 aus dem Hause Gérard Bertrand ist ein reinsortiger Bio-Rotwein, der eindrucksvoll demonstriert, wie viel Charakter und Tiefe ein Wein ohne Schwefelzusatz entwickeln kann. Die Weinbereitung beginnt mit einer extrem präzisen Selektion der Parzellen, bei der Gesundheit, Reifegrad und Vitalität der Rebstöcke entscheidend sind. Denn rund 90 % der Qualität entsteht laut Winzer im Weinberg. Die Trauben werden in einem sehr engen Erntefenster gelesen, um das optimale Gleichgewicht zwischen Säure, Zucker und Tanninstruktur zu treffen. Nach dem vollständigen Entrappen erfolgt eine klassische Rotweinbereitung mit etwa 10-tägiger Mazeration, wobei durch tägliches Umpumpen gezielt Fruchtausdruck extrahiert wird. Nach sanftem Pressen werden die Weine sorgfältig abgefüllt, um die gröbsten Hefen zu entfernen, und anschließend stabil bei Kälte gelagert. Alles geschieht ohne Einsatz von Schwefel oder sonstigen önologischen Hilfsmitteln, was höchste Präzision in jedem Arbeitsschritt erfordert. Tasting notes:

Die Nase verführt mit Noten von reifen dunklen Früchten, insbesondere Brombeeren und Pflaumen, ergänzt durch zarte Nuancen von Lakritze und einem Hauch mediterraner Würze. Am Gaumen ist der Wein rund, saftig und großzügig, mit harmonischer Tanninstruktur, weicher Textur und feiner Frische, die ihn trotz seiner Tiefe lebendig wirken lässt.
