Dieser Single Cask Islay Whisky wurde im Mai 2015 destilliert und im Juni 2024 abgefüllt. Er erhielt ein besonderes Finish in einem Ruby Port Butt, das ihm zusätzliche Tiefe, fruchtige Süße und eine elegante Komplexität verleiht. Wie alle Abfüllungen der Old Particular Serie ist er nicht kühlfiltriert und kommt ohne Farbstoffe in die Flasche, wodurch seine natürliche Reinheit und Fassprägung vollständig erhalten bleibt.
Die Kombination aus dem rauchig-maritim geprägten Charakter der Caol Ila Distillery und den fruchtig-süßen Einflüssen des Ruby Port Fasses macht diese Edition zu einem außergewöhnlichen Vertreter der Serie. Nase: Intensiver Torfrauch, maritim mit Noten von Salz, Seetang und einer leichten Süße.
Geschmack: Kraftvoll, würzig und komplex mit Lagerfeuerrauch, Malz, Gewürzen und einem Hauch Karamell.
Abgang: Lang anhaltend, rauchig und maritim mit feiner Würze.
Der Old Particular Ledaig 12 Years Old eignet sich hervorragend zum puren Genuss, um die typische Kombination aus Rauch und maritimen Noten zu erleben. Mit ein paar Tropfen Wasser lassen sich zusätzliche Facetten wie Süße und Fruchtigkeit freisetzen.
